Ironstrand Capital is a joint venture real estate debt platform between Kajer Capital and Halaby Capital, focused on conservative, first-lien, asset-backed lending designed to generate durable investor income while prioritizing capital preservation.

Our leadership combines experience in commercial real estate lending, asset management, portfolio management, underwriting, value-add multifamily investment, banking, and capital markets.
Ironstrand Capital serves as both Fund Manager and Loan Servicer. We originate the loans, we service them, and we manage them for the life of the loan.

Our Leadership
Jesse Kajer
Jesse leads loan origination, underwriting standards and credit policy, portfolio management, loan servicing oversight, and operational execution. He brings more than two decades of experience in real estate lending, structured finance, credit underwriting, and asset management, having personally been involved in the deployment of more than $1.95 billion in debt capital across real estate transactions — including capital formation and loan production for a private lending platform he previously co-founded that raised over $300 million in fund equity and funded hundreds of loans.

Ted Halaby
Ted leads capital formation, investor relations and reporting, fund administration, accounting and financial oversight, compliance coordination, and strategic partnerships. He brings more than 20 years of real estate investment experience, including value-add single-family and multifamily acquisitions across Colorado, Midwest, and Sunbelt markets, and has overseen the repositioning of 100+ single-family homes and the acquisition of more than 1,850 multifamily units totaling over $200 million in acquisitions through Halaby Capital.
